The 2023 NAM Undergraduate MATHFest is a three-day meeting, which will be held from Friday, September 22 through Sunday, September 24. This event rotates around the country based on NAM's regional structure, and this year, will be hosted by Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, GA. It is held annually to encourage students to pursue advanced degrees in mathematics and mathematics education. The conference is geared for undergraduates from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), although all are welcome to attend.

NAM Undergraduate MATHFest 2023 will feature:

  • Poster Presentations
  • J. Ernest Wilkins Lecture
  • Problem Time
  • Graduate School Fair
  • Graduate Student Lightning Talks (New Feature)

Schedule can be found here.

Submissions: Students (graduate, undergraduate) are encouraged to submit abstracts to present their research. For the first time this year, graduate students have an opportunity to present 5-minute lightning talks. These talks could include a mathematics problem, proof idea, or words to encourage undergraduate students to pursue graduate studies!!! NAM still encourages students to submit abstracts for traditional oral or poster presentations.
