These are the approximate deadlines for submissions of articles, announcements, and advertisements.

• Winter Edition: December 1
• Spring: March 1
• Summer: June 1
• Fall: September 1

We reserve the right to reject any advertising that is not consistent with the stated goals of NAM, or that is in any way deemed inappropriate. The newsletter is generally published 4-6 weeks after the submission deadline.

articles and announcements

Articles are solicited from NAM members on topics that are of interest to the NAM community. We welcome articles on a variety of topics such as mathematical research, education, upcoming or past events, and accomplishments. Articles and/or announcements may be submitted here. PNG and TeX files are preferred.

The NAM Newsletter is a quarterly newsletter. If you wish to advertise with us, please fill out our form here. Make sure you double check entries and length before submission. PNG and TeX files are preferred. 

Submit Advertisement 

nam online advertisement policy

A copy of the advertisement will be placed on the web during the period plus one period after it appears in the quarterly Newsletter - at the Advertisements and Past Advertisements, respectively.

ad policy for non-institutional members

Receipt of your announcement will be acknowledged. You will be billed after the advertisement appears by the NAM Treasurer. A copy of the advertisement will placed on the NAM website during the period it appears in the NAM Newsletter unless immediate posting is selected. To estimate the page size, use 12 point font on a standard size page. As a rule of thumb, 500 words is a full page of only text.

One issue advertising

• One-fourth page is $200
• One-third page is $300
• One-half page is $400
• Two-thirds page is $500
• Three-fourths page is $600
• One whole page is $800
• Advertisements over one page are pro-rated according to the above pricing.

Consecutive, multiple issue advertising

• Each consecutive issue thereafter 75% of the first issue charge.
